Import Existing Database

Description

Oftentimes you will want to begin your database project by importing the database schema of an existing live database. This will allow you to import the schema object definitions and add them to the offline isolated file-based database project so they can be modified locally inside the project.

Steps

  1. Import an Existing Database Schema Into the Database Project (Optional):

    Specify the source database connection with appropriately privileged credentials from which to import the database schema.

    Configure import options and decide whether to override current database configuration settings of your project with the source database settings.
