Establish Project Data Management Plan

Description

Visual Studio 2005 Team System automatically collects and reports measurement data on the standard organizational process elements. If the Measurement Plan includes any non-standard measurements, a Project Data Management Plan that indicates how measurement data will be collected and reported during the project is needed.

Steps

  1. Evaluate Measurement Plan:

    Evaluate the Measurement Plan to see if any non-standard measurements are required; such as, measurements that are not automatically generated by Team System.
  2. Specify Project Measurement Collection (Optional):

    If non-standard measurements are planned for the project, specify the collection and reporting methods. Automated data collection is highly recommended.
  3. Approve Project Data Management Plan:

    Review and approve the Project Data Measurement Plan for use in the project.
