Activity Information Define Iteration Budget and Schedule
DescriptionBased on the estimate for the iteration and resource plans, define the budget and schedule and publish them to the project portal. StepsDefine Detailed Schedule for Iteration (Optional):
If desired, export the work items to Microsoft Project, and define a detailed schedule of work item dependencies. Define End Date for Iteration:
Define the end date. Usually this will be based on the steady rhythm of the iteration length determined for the project as a whole.
If there is reason to adjust the normal iteration length, then do so and clearly communicate why there is a change in length and whether this is a single occurrence or a change to be reflected in all future project iterations.
Adjust the proposed iteration backlog based on any changes to the iteration length. Define Budget for the Iteration:
Determine the budget based on the resource, facilities, and equipment required against the length of the iteration. Buffer the budget estimate for contingency costs in the risk plan and provide some slack time to facilitate corrective action and issue resolution, if required. Publish Estimate and Budget:
Publish the budget and scheduled iteration completion date to the project portal.
