The developer advocates for the Development constituency in the MSF Team Model. The developer’s main goal is to implement the application as specified within the planned timeframe. The developer is also expected to help specify the features of physical design, estimate time and effort to complete each feature, build or supervise implementation of features, prepare the product for deployment, and provide technology subject matter expertise to the team. A person assigned to this role should be added to the Contributor permissions group. This allows them to do all that they need to perform their role, such as create and modify documents, work items, and work products.
