Governance concerns the control of time and money relative to the flow of value. MSF for Agile Software Development defines five governance checkpoints, each of which focuses on a specific question to answer. The activities and workstreams leading to the checkpoints are called tracks. Do not confuse the tracks for governance with the organization of work which is grouped in iterations and the finer cycles within.
