Description

Release notes are a brief summary of information included with each product release. Release notes describe environment requirements, installation details, product invocation, new features, resolved bugs, known defects, or workarounds. Users refer to release notes to discover details about the new product release.

Steps

  1. Document Known Limitations:
    Describe the environmental requirements.

    Describe the installation mechanism.

    Describe the product invocation information.

    Describe the new scenarios and defects resolved compared with the previous release.

    Describe any known limitations of the product or bugs that could restrict the expected behavior.

    Review the release notes to be sure that they are accurate, complete, and externally presentable.
